Patient information and privacy

Who can see patient details on incidents, and what belongs there.

On this page
  1. Who sees it
  2. What belongs there — and what does not

Incident reports may include a minimal, optional patient section — age range, sex, and notes. It exists so your operational record is complete, and it is deliberately fenced off.

Who sees it#

  • Only Account Owners and Administrators can record or view patient details.
  • Everyone else sees the same incident with the patient section absent — in the report, on lists, and in the activity log (where sensitive values are redacted).
  • The fence is enforced server-side, not just hidden in the page.

What belongs there — and what does not#

  • Belongs: the minimal facts of the response — approximate age range, sex if relevant, a short note.
  • Does not belong: names, medical history, diagnoses, or anything clinical. This is an operational record of your response, never a medical record — EMS and the hospital own those.

Tip: When in doubt, leave it out — the incident report is complete and compliant without any patient details at all.
