What you track for each Narcan kit

Each Narcan station or kit keeps its form, its concentration and every dose with its own lot and date.

The naloxone inspection checklist

AED Log's default Narcan check runs monthly and confirms the doses are present, in date and stored properly:

Narcan present (critical)

Not expired (critical)

Stored within its temperature range

Packaging intact

Notes, such as doses to reorder

A failed check opens a corrective action and flags the station. Administrators can change the questions or the interval to match your own protocol.

Naloxone expiration alerts

Every Narcan dose warns you before it expires, on the dashboard, the calendar and the alerts.

When a dose is used or replaced, archive it and add the new one, and its history stays with the station. Alerts go to the person responsible or to everyone at the site, by email or in Slack, Microsoft Teams or Discord.

AED Log's FDA recall notices cover AED devices only, so it does not track drug recalls for naloxone.

Incident reports for naloxone use

When naloxone is given, record the response for review, and restock the station.

Narcan add-on pricing

Narcan tracking is an add-on at $8 per station or kit per year, on top of your AED plan.

Every account starts with an AED plan, which covers all your AEDs at one flat rate for the tier. Add one license per active Narcan station or kit, and pay only the prorated difference when you add more during the year.

Related: EpiPen and epinephrine expiration tracking

Epinephrine auto-injectors are tracked the same way, with a monthly check and an alert before each one expires.
