Connecting Slack for safety alerts

Pipe alerts into the Slack channel your team already watches. Administrators set it up under Integrations.

Connecting#

1. Enable the Slack integration and choose Connect Slack.
2. Slack asks you to approve and to pick the channel alerts should post to (a dedicated #safety-alerts channel works well).
3. Back in the portal, send the test message — if it lands, you are wired.
4. Choose which alert categories post to Slack.

Managing the connection#

• Reconnect any time to change workspaces or channels.
• Disconnect stops posting instantly.
• The connection is stored encrypted, and Slack routing is independent of anyone's email preferences — the channel gets what you route to it, people get what they chose personally.
