AED inspection templates
Two ways to record the monthly AED check: one inspection on one page, or a year of inspections on one sheet with a tag for the cabinet. Both ask the same seven questions as AED Log.
Emergency plans and signage
A plan for who does what when someone collapses, and signs so people can find the AED when it matters.
Fire extinguisher, eyewash and first aid checklists
The rest of the safety walk-through: monthly fire extinguisher checks, weekly eyewash activation and first aid kit inspections, each with a log or tag.
How to use these templates
Print the PDF, keep a copy with the equipment, fill it in at every check, and file the finished sheets so you can show what was done and when.
Every template is a letter-size PDF that prints well in black and white, apart from the AED sign, which is meant for color. Download it and print as many copies as you need. The checks match AED Log's own inspection checklists word for word.
Each page shows the answer that passes a check and what to do when one fails. Write the date and your initials every time, note any problem and the fix, and keep the sheets with the equipment's records.
The templates are a starting point, not legal advice: follow each manufacturer's instructions, your state's rules and your own procedures. Our guides explain the rules behind each one, and the most common AED compliance mistakes shows what to watch for. More tips are on the blog.
Track it all automatically instead
Paper works until someone forgets. AED Log runs the same checklists on any phone, reminds people before each one is due, and keeps every record for you.
Scan an AED's or extinguisher's QR label, answer the checks, and the inspection is saved with who did it and when. Pads, batteries, extinguisher service dates, first aid supplies and responders' certifications are tracked with warnings before they expire, and a failed check alerts the right people.
From paper checklists to automatic reminders
Every inspection, expiration and certification for every location, in one place.
