Subscribe to AED Deadlines in Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar

AED Log gives every user a personal iCal feed of AED deadlines that Outlook, Google Calendar and Apple Calendar can subscribe to. Inspections, expirations and certification renewals then appear next to your meetings and keep themselves up to date.

The calendar subscription dialog in AED Log: choose which dates to include and copy a feed URL for Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar

What the calendar feed includes

The AED calendar feed carries the same dated events as AED Log's compliance calendar, limited to the locations you can access.

Inspection due dates for every unit

Pad, battery and supply expirations

Equipment dates such as hydrostatic tests and registrations

CPR, AED and first aid certification expirations

Document expirations, such as a medical direction letter

A link in each event back to its record in AED Log

Subscribe in Outlook

In Outlook, add your AED Log feed as a calendar from the web.

Copy your feed URL from the Subscribe button on AED Log's Calendar page. In Outlook on the web, choose Add calendar, then Subscribe from web, paste the URL, give the calendar a name and import it.

Subscribe in Google Calendar

In Google Calendar, add your AED Log feed under Other calendars, from its URL.

On a computer, open Google Calendar, choose the plus sign next to Other calendars, then From URL, paste the feed URL and choose Add calendar. Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, so a new event can take several hours to appear.

Subscribe in Apple Calendar

In Apple Calendar, add your AED Log feed as a calendar subscription.

On a Mac, choose File, then New Calendar Subscription, paste the feed URL and choose how often it refreshes. On an iPhone or iPad, add a subscribed calendar from the calendar accounts in Settings.

Filter the feed by event type

Subscribe to every event, or only the types you care about, such as inspections or certifications.

Choose the event types when you copy the feed URL in AED Log. Someone who only looks after first aid cabinets can subscribe to just those dates.

Revoke a feed by regenerating the link

If a feed URL is ever shared by mistake, regenerate it in AED Log and the old link stops working right away.

Then subscribe again with the new URL. Each feed follows its owner's location access, so it never shows sites they can't see.

Put AED deadlines in your own calendar
