Alert emails: immediate, daily or weekly digest, or off
Tune how each alert type reaches your inbox.
On this page
Under Notifications, each user tunes how each alert type reaches them by email. These settings are personal — yours affect only you.
The four modes#
- Immediate email — sent the moment the alert opens. The default for critical severity.
- Daily digest — one morning summary of everything open, grouped and skimmable. The default for everything else.
- Weekly digest — the same summary, once a week on Monday morning. Good for routine items you review on a weekly rhythm.
- Off — no email for that type; the alert still appears in the portal and still counts in the badge.
You can mix them: types set to daily arrive in the daily summary, types set to weekly in the Monday summary.
A sensible setup#
- Leave critical types on immediate — you want to know now.
- Keep routine expirations on a digest — one email a day (or a week) beats ten.
- Turn off only what genuinely is not your job; the portal remains the source of truth.
Note: Chat channels (Slack, Teams, Discord) are configured separately under Integrations, route by alert category, and are independent of anyone's email preferences.
