Locked equipment types and license limits
Why some equipment types show as locked, and what the license-limit notices mean.
On this page
Your plan with AED Log determines two things: which equipment types you can manage, and how many units are licensed. The portal is explicit about both.
Locked types#
- A type shows as locked when equipment of that type exists on your account but the type is not part of your current plan — the records are safely preserved, just read-only, until it is unlocked.
- Choosing a locked type while adding equipment opens the unlock panel. It shows the price and a Pay & subscribe button, which charges your saved payment method and unlocks the type right away.
License limits#
- AED licenses and add-on type licenses cap how many active units you can have of each kind.
- At the cap, the add form tells you the exact next step: add licenses (a prorated one-click charge), pay an open invoice, or subscribe if you have not yet.
- License increases take effect the moment payment succeeds — no waiting.
